UPDATE: This workshop is filled- please sign up for our e-mail updates below to be informed of the next one (date to be determined)

I’ll be holding an absolutely free afternoon lighting workshop in my Los Angeles studio on Saturday, January 9, 2010.  Yes, I know just seeing the words twenty-ten sounds light years away, but it’s actually just a handful of weeks away, and just in time for some free New Year’s cheer.  It’ll be a very open-discussion casual affair- Claudia and I will provide snacks and drinks at the studio, along with demonstrating at least 4 lighting setups using Nikon Speedlights, the entire Honl Photo Lighting System, and the small Photoflex softboxes I use in my daily Speedlight work. You’ll be able to make yourself completely at home- we’ll check all intimidation at the door- our place will be your place for the afternoon.

My studio is directly across from Universal Studios Hollywood, so if you are coming from out of town there is alot of great entertainment nearby, and after the workshop we can all go for drinks to either Henry’s Hat across the street or one of the many pubs in Hollywood.

How to register:

We will be announcing the workshop registration and time via our e-mail list on December 5.  Space is limited, so once you receive the e-mail be sure to register right away as we expect it will fill up fast.  Sign up for the list here, then watch your inbox for the December 5 e-mail:

What a great oportunity, too bad that I am living in Germany – too far to come around! But thanks for the great offer, would love to hang with you guys. I really liked your Light DVD! Makes you feel like we are already friends ( :

Wow, how generous! Wish I was in LA instead of PA. Love your work David…. both photography and lighting system.
